"Bjorn and I have launched Hound Dog, which takes pet care far beyond that normally provided by kennels or catteries. It means taking other people's pets into our homes, or caring for animals in their owners' homes and providing the kind of care pets might normally expect from their owners. We won't draw the line at dogs and cats. we'll care for any pet animal, as long as it will fit through the door of our homes!"

Bjorn and Mahalia are brother and sister and have grown up with animals, ranging from cats and peacocks to dogs, goats, bantams, cockerels, hamsters, rabbits, and even pet lizards and spiders. We have combined our desire for independence with a career working with animals, by launching our own business caring for other people's homes and pets while their owners are on holiday or away.

All the “Hound Dog” Home & Pet Sitters and Pet Boarders are recruited through a strict process which includes a face to face interview, multiple references (professional and personal) and a Police Check.

Our team are mostly retired professionals and are selected on their experience, maturity, pet history and exemplary references. All our team are former or current pet owners and all recruitment documentation is available upon request.
